Excellent Motel/Inn very close to I-95. Affordable, fantastic service, clean renovated comfortable rooms, rustic Maine like lobby, and plenty of safe parking. We've been here several times and we will keep coming back!!
Rooms were clean. A/C worked well, nice deck off the back 2nd floor. Price was very good. I would stay there again. It was a great little stop here in the woods.
Staff were absolutely amazing! I had a family emergency and flew in from Missouri. The staff treated me as family, were very flexible with the days I needed to stay and didn’t need to stay. Would recommend 10000 times over. Clean rooms, quiet atmosphere! Thanks again Gateway Inn!
Right off the highway so, it was very convenient for a quick overnight stop in route to our final destination. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable with minimal luxury. The staff very friendly. I would recommend this Inn.
Stayed two nights on a long distance trip. Great room with fantastic view and super friendly staff. Clean, well managed and a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended and we will be back. Grandbelly cafe is just down the road with Great Pie, too. Just saying…

I am honestly blown away by the level of value provided at this hotel. I am a Hilton member and always try to go with Hilton hotels, but when I saw that hotels in Bangor were $282 - $450 per night I knew I had to look for something else. I found the Gateway Inn, for $89 plus tax you get an enormous motel room, an awesome lobby / common area, the friendliest lobby worker I have met on this 3,000 mile road trip so far, and a Continental breakfast. The cleanliness and attention to detail shock me for the price point, and I hope this motel can continue to offer rooms at this amazing price even in the face of greedy corporate hotel chains jacking up their rates.
Mixed reviews. First the staff were so nice and friendly. They were booked up but had efficiency apartments on bottom. I took that. These were clean but smelled very musty. You could see the previous water damage. Did not have any hot water. No breakfast, just coffee and snacks. I can not comment on regular rooms but would not stay in apartments on bottom. We bought candles and Lysol but smell terrible.
